Scheduling Notes: 08/21/2019

Hey Everyone,

Just a few notes and follow-up from the meeting last night.  Thanks to all who were able to attend.

Teams and Divisions

We had a few teams that had to drop out as of last evening.  Currently we have 4 teams in each of the 18U divisions and 6 teams in the 16U division.  The 18U teams will play each team in the division 3x and the 16U will play each other 2x.  18U will have a total of 9 divisional games and 16u will have a total of 10 divisional games.  There are also several non-league teams available for additional games.  To view contacts and divisional breakdowns you can download by clicking HERE

Scheduling

Please complete all LEAGUE schedules using the YOUTHHOCKEY scheduler by this Friday (8/23/2019) before 6:00 PM and sooner if at all possible.  This will help allow all of the teams to finalize their entire schedules.  We are currently right around 50% scheduled as of this morning.  If you would like to schedule independent games we are 100% OK with that.

Referees

Brian Dolan has offered to act as our scheduler for the Fall 2019.  Fees are $ 75.00 per referee (for games both with and without an ice cut) and are due via cash or check to the referees before the start of the game with the exception of Cleveland Wildcats who will be invoiced by Brian for the refs at all of their teams visiting games.  As a remnder, the visiting team is responsible for paying the referees and the home teams are responsible for paying for the ice.  The league currently does not charge any game or scheduling fees.

Website

The current "Public" website for the league is https://app.youthhockey.com/leagues/320/glpphl Currently it does show all of the teams as well as the location for Posts such as these.  In addition, parents can access team schedules on it (there are links for that as well).  Right now the league schedule is not showing up on it.  Not sure why but I hope to check on this in the next day or 2.

Thanks again to everyone for being a part of this project.  If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.

With Best Regards,

Rick Kish
