Summer Practices Now In Session!

Welcome all to the Sharks. Summer ice is now in session. Peewee's will hit the ice at the John M. Coyne Recreation Center every Thursday at 7:30pm through August. We understand that it is the summer and you parents/kids have many plans. If you cannot attend, then just let us know. The object of Summer ice is to knock the cobwebs off the skates and allow the kids to get to know each other, as well as to let the coaches see how the players have developed over the summer. Future practices, scrimmages and games are still TBD.

The Brooklyn Sharks Peewee team is expected to play at Peewee A1 in the CSHL this fall.

Here is the latest from Coach Rocky:

• If anyone is interested and/or has questions for the board members, there will be a board meeting Monday July 14th, at 6pm @ Brooklyn Ice Rink. If you have questions, but don't feel like attending, let me know because I will be there.
• I have been in contact with the bantam coach. We are trying to set up a home and home game with a good Erie, PA. program for both Peewees and Bantams
• I have also told our tournament director that we are tentatively interested in out of town tournaments in Detroit (Oct 10-12) and Pittsburgh (Nov 7-9) on top of the 2 tournaments we talked about at the meeting - Silver Sticks, Fort Wayne (Dec 12-14) & Notre Dame (MLK Weekend or Presidents Weekend)
  
• We need to start thinking & talking about fundraisers. We are looking for several parents to join our Fundraising Committee to come up with ideas.
  
• We are looking for someone to keep track of the goal can for this season - assuming you want to do a goal can this year
• I have asked Dave Jockers to be this years team manager, with the assistance of Melissa Crawford. If you have any team questions, feel free to contact either of them.
